Overview

Anomer Bio is an early-stage biotech start-up developing a small-molecule drug platform to target glycans, an under-exploited class of drug targets that drive immune and fibrotic diseases.

Built on Nobel Prize-winning science, Anomer’s platform integrates proprietary computational models to design and develop novel glycan-targeting therapeutics. Anomer is now expanding to advance lead programmes and validate its platform in vivo.

We're offering placements to:

Students who want to experience work in a biotech start up and apply their bioinformatics/computational chemistry skills to scientific problems in glycobiology.

Placement students will work alongside the founding team, learn about Anomer Bio's target ID and drug screening models and have the opportunity to contribute to these through individual research projects.

The placements will cover two broad research themes:

1. Target ID using our proprietary glycosylation model
2. Drug design and screening against new glyco-targets
